Educational Institutes, ors celebrate Vasant Panchami

Jammu, Feb 12: Various Educational Institutes and others across Jammu Province celebrated Vasant Panchami with great fervor.
KIDZEE Pre-school of Zee Learn Ltd. celebrated "Vasant Panchami" at its branches: Anand Nagar Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Talab Tillo and Channi Himmat.
A Special assembly was conducted and demonstration was given to the students regarding "Vasant Panchami". The kids were dressed in "Yellow Costumes" depicting the value of "Vasant Panchami". The toddlers brought yellow coloured food items in their lunch box also for the same. Rangoli was made which highlighted the yellow colour indicated spring season.
Rich Harvest School celebrated Vasant Panchami as per Dorga culture. In earnest effort to revive the glory of Dogra culture during the Golden Jubilee celebrations Of Dogra Educational Institutions. A photo session was done where children came dressed as Dogra warriors, bridegrooms, brides, farmers and others.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, Anand Nagar, Patta Bohri Jammu celebrated "Vasant Panchami" with great fervour in the presence of Managing Director Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Co-ordinator Kawaljeet Kour & Staff.
A special assembly was conducted and demonstration was given to the students regarding "Vasant Panchami". Rangoli was made which highlighted the yellow colour, indicating spring season.
Humanity Public School Jammu celebrated Basant Panchami as a yellow day. On the occasion special morning assembly was conducted during which Saraswati Vandna was done. Students threw light on the importance of this day. On the occasion students dressed in yellow coloured looked like blowing flowers. Students performed many dances and enjoyed on the tunes of music especially little kids enjoyed a lot.
Rich Harvest School Bari Brahmana celebrated Vasant Panchami. According to the Hindu calendar, Vasant Panchami is the first day of the spring season. It was celebrated in the school by holding a special assembly where children were told the significance of the day and how it is celebrated in various parts of the country. This was followed by a puja of Goddess Saraswati, "the Goddess of Knowledge, Music and Art" by Principal Anita Bhatia.
RM Public School Jammu celebrated Vasant Panchami and Yellow day with great enthusiasm. The students of pre-primary wing and staff members of the School celebrated vasant Panchami. Little todlers and teachers came in yellow colour dress and decorate the building with yellow buntings and balloons. The school organized the special assembly to celebrate this function. The function began with Arti of "Maa Gayatri" by the chief guest Rita Mengi, Trustee of the school.
Institute of Music and Fine arts (IMFA), University of Jammu today celebrated Basant Panchami marked by musical recital at its premises. At the outset Prof. Poonam Chaudhary,Principal IMFA accompanied by the artists Rakesh Sharma,Harsh Vardhan and Sunil Raina lit the tradional lamp,followed by spiritual offerings to Goddess Saraswati.
BSF School celebrated Jammu Vasant Panchmi on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi. BSF School paid obesience to Goddess Sarawati to remove the ignorance and enlighten the path of children with wisdom. To mark the occasion, during the morning assembly, a plethora of activities were organised. Bhajans in the praise of Goddess Saraswati were sung on the birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, an elaborate programme was organised.
Radio Kashmir Jammu celebrated Vasant Panchami, a festival that signifies the beginning of Vasant Ritu (spring season), in its full fervour by worshiping musical instruments in a function organised in the music studio where Station Director Sh. V.K.Sambyal alongwith staff performed formal pooja. During the function, various timeless collection of musical instruments were displayed which mainly included Tabla, Harmonium, Sitar, Tanpura and others.
The Teachers, students and the Management of NSM College of Education today celebrated Vasant Panchami with great zeal and fervour.
According to press release, the function started with the lighting of the lamp by Parneesh Mahajan, Secretary NSM group of Institutions, Principal Dr. Suman Thussu, and Administrative Officer Mangal Dass.
Apple Kids International Pre- school, Bantalab, here today celebrated 'Yellow Day' on the occasion of Vasant Panchami by involving young students at the school premises.
Clad in yellow dresses, students were made to recognize yellow colour through various games and play-way activities. To make the generation next practical, the school has adopted a noble method of educating the tiny tots.
