Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: Police claimed to have arrested nine gamblers besides recovering huge amount upto Rs 35430/- as stake money along with costly mobile phones during a raid in Rehari area. "The accused have been identified as Sahil Sharma, Dikshat Sharma , Vipal trio residents of Subash Nagar Jammu, Amit Kumar, Manminder Singh, Goutam Gupta Rehari Kuljeet Singh, all residents of Rehari Colony, Anil Gupta, Amit Kumar both residents of Hari Singh Nagar Rehari Colony Jammu," police said. Police spokesperson said, "Acting on the specific about gambling in the house of one Sanjeev Kumar of Hari Singh Nagar Rehari colony Jammu, police team led by Inspector Ashwani Sharma SHO Bakshi Nagar and SI Kali Charan in-charge Police Post Sarwal raided the said premises and arrested nine persons who were caught read handed while gambling in a room of the said premises. "During the raid police team also recovered cash upto Rs 35430/- stake money besides 12 mobiles, 05 pkts of playing cards, liquor and six disposal glasses," police added Police said that the overall operation was conducted under the direct supervision of SDPO City West Sugandha Mahajan and In-charge SP City North Romesh Kotwal. |
