Early Times Report Jammu, May 13: JP World School in collaboration with Pollution Control Board today organized workshop on Waste Management here at School premises. According to press release, Anuradha- scientist I/C EW & MSW, JK SPCB, Jammu was the resource person. She was welcomed by the school principal, Jitinder Singh Hundal, staff members and students. Anuradha gave presentation on classification and segregation of different types of waste and their harmful effects on environment and how we can reduce, reuse and recycle different waste material. She urged students, and teachers to spread this message in their neighborhood to stop use of polythene bags as they are non biodegradable. The workshop was highly interactive and appreciated by the staff and students. Speaking on the occasion, the principal, Jitinder Singh Hundal expressed his commitment to make school campus eco friendly by declaring JPWS as Green Campus. |
