Udhampur, May 14: Farmers of block Pancheri today demanded relief and compensation as they also have suffered huge losses due to recent heavy rains which lashed the Udhmapur. Farmers hailing from villages namely Badhota, Galiote, Kotla, Kultayar, Meer, Chulna, Panjar and Moungari in Block Panchari said that they have suffered huge losses due to heavy rains as standing crops were damaged.
As per reports heavy rains which lashed the region has resulted in huge loss to the farmers of Panchari block and Bhamag, and Latti in Udhampur district. Farmer of these villages have requested the district administration to assess the agricultural as well as horticultural losses and to provide the compensation to the poor farmers on humanitarian grounds. |
