| Yr after advertisement, 52 NRHM posts vacant | | | Bijay Charak

JAMMU, May 14: The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) has failed to fill 52 contractual key posts which were advertised by the mission a year ago.
Sources in Health Department told Early Times that the UPA Government aims to run the state health institutions as per norms of Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS) has launched National Health Mission (NHM) in 2005 for providing accessible, affordable and quality health care to the rural population of the country but in Jammu and Kashmir it was seen antagonistic because previous year the state mission director had advertized 52 contractual posts twice but astoundingly the posts were yet not filled.
In beginning 2015 NHM once the posts was advertised and that time thousands of unemployed educated youth applied but in September 2015 the mission director once again advertized these posts and that time candidates of Kashmir division were informed that who have already applied in April 2015 need not apply again.
Posts including State IEC Consultant, State Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Project Officer ASHA, Clinical Coordinator (SNCU Data Management Cell), Assistant M&E officer, Adolescent Health councilor, ledger Keeper/ Tally / PF MS Assistant and Junior Assistant are lying vacant at State Health Society, Nagrota, need was felt that to run society smoothly Jammu and Kashmir Mission director National Health Mission previous year has invited applications from eligible candidates of these posts and thousands of unemployed educated youth applied in it.
The other posts lying vacant and advertised, State trainer (IYCF Resource Centre) post one each at GP Pant Hospital and SMGS Hospital, Programme Officer post for SMGS hospital, Law officer and Divisional Accounts Manager posts for Kashmir division , seven posts of DEIC Manager (RBSK) for district Head quarter Shopian, Kargil , Leh, Reasi, Kupwara, GMC's of both division.
District Accounts Manager five posts for district Ganderbal, Kargil, Samba, Kishtwar and Kathua District Monitoring and Evaluation Officer one each for district Kupwara, Samba, Doda and Reasi.
Five posts of Accounts Manager at District hospital for Leh, Kulgam, Rajouri, Ramban, and Kishtwar, another six posts of Block Account Manager and Seven posts of Block Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for both division, City Programme Manager and City Accounts Manager posts one each for Kashmir district but due to lackadaisical approach of NHM authority thousands of aspirants still waiting for contractual recruitment.
When contacted Mission Director, Dr Mohan Singh accepted and said that he had already taken the matter with higher authority and after getting official communication in this matter we will start the recruitment process of these posts and hoped that it will be started in the month of July this year. |
