Early Times Report JAMMU, May 14: Two days after court sent Khour police station SHO to police custody for allegedly raping a woman inside his thana, another SHO, who at present heads a police station in Jammu South, is alleged to have made sexual advances to a woman. While the SHO has denied the charge, the woman, in her written complaint to senior officers, has alleged that the SHO had also harassed and abused her on telephone. She also alleged that the SHO had misbehaved with her. "Senior police officers have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated a probe," police sources said. "In her complaint, the woman has claimed that she has proof against the SHO to prove her allegations," sources informed. "She was now being threatened by the SHO of dire consequences in an attempt to build pressure on her so that she takes her complaint back," sources alleged. Sources said senior police officers were thinking to transfer the SHO to some other place in near future. Sources said a woman had also filed a complaint before the court, alleging therein that the cop had sexually abused her daughter inside police station. Following the complaint, the court directed police to hold probe and lodge FIR against the cop, if found guilty. Meanwhile, a senior police officer, when contacted, claimed that the complaint against the cop was proved to be baseless. He said the lady, who had lodged the complaint, was booked by the SHO earlier also in another case. Moreover, the cop who was made witness by the lady was posted with the SHO much later after the so called sexual incident. "The probe report by a DySP has been submitted to the court," sources said. |
