Early Times Report JAMMU, May 14: A senior police officer, who has given the additional charge of Bakshi Nagar SDPO to a woman DSP, is alleged to be creating hurdles in filling up the post even as an IPS officer's name has been cleared for it. The senior officer is interested that Bakshi Nagar SDPO's additional charge should continue with the woman DSP for some more time, according to police sources. The woman DSP is having two more additional charges with her; one of the district headquarters and the other of looking after the job and work of coordination. Even as she was holding three charges, the senior officer was not interested in relieving her of the additional responsibilities as a result of which other police officers, including the IPS officer, had been sitting idle, the sources added. She was the only police officer in J&K who was holding three additional charges, sources claimed. The IPS officer had completed his probation period at R S Pura police station. He was now to be posted as SDPO, Bakshi Nagar, but the senior police was deliberately not issuing his posting orders, sources alleged, saying the officer had told him to wait for his posting for a few more days. |
