Ramban, May 14: Police claimed to have arrested a Bootlegger and recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. A case stands registered against the accused.
Police reports said that during patrolling at Bus Stand Ramban a person, identified as Gambhir Singh s/o Sant of Deyar Gali, Rajgarh was intercepted for his suspicious movements on seeing police team. "During the search of his personal belongings police recovered 45 pouches of JK whisky from his possession, which he was trying to smuggle in to Rajgarh area to earn illegitimate profit, police sources said and added, "accordingly, poly packs of liquor were seized and the accused was arrested on the spot." "Meanwhile Ramban Police have registered a case under FIR No. 66/2016 u/s 48(A) Excise Act at Police Station Ramban, police said.
