| Admin orders taking over 85 kanals of encroached land | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 14: A government primary school at Village Talah in zone Mogla in Taryath of district Rajouri which was scheduled to be constructed on a state land got struck due to various reasons brought a land encroacher to take cudgels against the government and lose his unauthorized land to the government.
The case came into the light at Rajouri district where one Romesh Kumar and his partner Bodh Raj, apprehensively conniving to take control of the state land filed a case against the tehsildar Taryath for delaying the construction of the school in the said village.
However the stay got vacated in the year 2011. Notwithstanding the fact that he alongwith his accomplice Bodh Raj is fighting against the government, the said Romesh Kumar, who boasts to have the patronage of the National Conference Ex MLAs and The MLCS , then approach Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) Nowshera with another stay on the land. This stay also got vacated in the same year that left both hapless and frustrated also. Later both approached the District Commissioner Rajouri with another stay against the government land and the construction of the school which was raised till plinth levels only, but to their chagrin, again the stay was vacated in the year 2012-13.
Recently in 2016, both the conniving partners then approached Divisional Commissioner Jammu with same lament and got their piece of abandonment from the DivCom with a reciprocation and the rebuttal that both are unduly harassing and objecting in the government works with malafide intentions only.
Divisional Commissioner after going through the details of their stays and vacations directed the Discrict Commissioner Rajouri to verify the credentials of Romesh Kumar and his accomplice and see into their malafide intentions against the government.
The DC who did the investigation found Khasra no 576 and 570 of the land in the illegal possession of Romesh Kumar that measured 85 kanals .
He immediately issued a mandatory order to tehsildar Taryath to take the possession of the land of Romesh Kumar who landed into soup.
However Romesh Kumar played a clandestine move and involved his CID son into the process and got the tehsildar influenced who was mad to serve fraudulent notices to Romesh Kumar, thus giving him enough time to initiate another move against the government. The Divisional Commissioner through the order No .6162 released the stricture for DC on 12-3-2016 who in response forwarded the same order to Tehsildar on 11-4-2016 for necessary action. The recent status of the case of the 85 kanals is that Romesh Kumar along with his accomplice Bodh Raj and CID CI son still holds the possession of the 85 Kanals while tehsildar who is conniving with all the three hasn't yet released the Divisional Commissioner's order to Romesh Kumar to vacate the 85 kanals land. |
