srinagar, July 26: The vigilance organisation (VO) has booked a JKPCC official in a corruption case for allegedly taking bribe from three persons for preparing their bills against the works they had executed in the department. VO sources said Mohammad Amin Dar of Khandiphari Harnag, Anantnag, who then worked as cashier in JKPCC unit at Kulgam, had allegedly received Rs 3.48 lakh as bribe through his saving bank Account No 0015040100003381 operational in T P Kulgam branch of J&K bank from piece workers -- Abdul Rehman Waza, son of Ghulam Ahmad Waza, Ashiq Hussain Shah, son of Mohammad Amin Shah, and Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, son of Mohammad Abdullah - all residents of Kulgam against the drawl of bills in their favour on account of the works executed by them at Kulgam. Accordingly a case was registered against the accused under section 5(1) (d) read with section 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act Svt, 2006 and sections 4(A) and 4(F) of PC (Amended-2014) Act. VOK had produced as many as 15 chargesheets against various corrupt public servants in the court of law during the current year, sources informed |
