DDC discusses measures to develop Sanasar tourist spot

RAMBAN, Oct 14: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz accompanied by concerned officers conducted whirlwind tour of Patnitop and Sanasar areas besides convening meeting to discuss several measures to develop Sanasar tourist spot thereby giving impetus to the tourism potential.
The team of officers inspected the road sites from Patnitop to Sanasar and identified number of locations where immediate repair is required. Pertinently first 10 kilometre road is under the occupation of BECON and rest is with under PWD. While chairing meeting at Sanasar, the DDC asked the concerned agencies to maintain the road within weeks time so that smooth plying of tourist and other vehicles is not put on inconvenience. The CEO Patnitop Development Authority was asked to segregate all footpaths and animal routes along with proper fencing including those locations from where entry of animals is easily made.
DDC further elaborated on the issue of rooting out of some unwanted material and weed gown in the lake besides proper fencing of golf course ground. He directed the concerned authorities to maintain cleanliness in and around the Sanasar areas by exploiting different sanitation techniques which can attract the tourists. Meanwhile, the DDC instructed for slapping complete ban on lifting and carrying of polythenws at the tourist destination as a result of which filth and garbage is accumulated at some areas. He also directed the officers of tourism, forest and revenue department to work in tandem so that large numbers of visitors are accessed to enjoy the scenic view of Sanasar throughout the year.
Later the DDC redressed multifold grievances as raised by the locals who met him in deputations and way back he also inspected the ongoing harvest inspection at Batote whereat he impressed upon the revenue staff for completing the girdwari work in time frame.
