Ramleela organized by Shiv Shakti Kala Kendra concludes

Jammu, Oct 14: Reflecting the true essence of Community Living 'Ramleela' was hosted at Bakshi Nagar by Shiv Shakti Kala Kendra Ramleela Club from 1st to 13th October. A dying art form ,'Ramleela' which is based on epic Ramayana was staged through a dramatic presentation .Over 110 members of the club participated and all were felicitated with the prizes. The Role of Shri Ram was played by Dheeraj Kumar,Laxman Ji by Vikram(Bobby),Seeta by Vishal Sawhney,Ravan By Raman Verma,Bharat by Gourav Chopra and Meghnath by Vishnu Naresh Kumar.The narration was backed by an ornately decorated stage,heavy costumes and eye-catching headgears. 'Ramleela' culminated with burning of Ravana's effigy demonstrating Victory of good over Evil. On the Conclusion ceremony, Anil Chopra,Chairman of the Club & District President DCC Jammu welcomed the Guests and all the audience. Former Cabinet Minister Sham Lal Sharma and DIG Jammu Ashkoor Wani were the Chief Guest on the occasion, Dr Amarjeet Singh Bhatia HOD GMC & SHO Bakshi Nagar were the Guest of honor. Raj Kumar Goyal,Puneet Arora,Sanjeev Sharma,Veena Sharma are the special guest on the occasion. While addressing the gathering Sham Lal Sharma thanked Shiv Shakti Kala Kendra Ramleela Club for organizing the Ramleela and urged everyone to follow the path of truth. He also asked the youth to strengthen the bond of communal brotherhood. "It is pertinent to mention here that Shiv Shakti Kala Kendra has been organizing the 'Ramleela' and 'Bhandara' fom the last 32 years", he said, adding that the work of the Club is appreciated by all the locals of Bakshi Nagar for its selfless service towards the Society.
