On the direction of District Administration, inspection was conducted in all nine tehsils of the district. Of 23 outlets 2 belonged to BSF, 2 were closed down and 1 at Sunderbani namely S K filing station having diesel and petrol dispensing units at different locations.
The inspection team conducted quality and quantity checks and found both up-to the mark at all functional outlets. However mandatory facilities were lacking at all locations. The team charged Rs 77000 as fine from pumps for not keeping filter papers for quality check of petrol, 500 ml jar, calibrated hydrometer, thermometer and ASTM (American Society for Testing of Materials) conversion charts to carry out density test and calibrated 5 litre measuring jar duly stamped by LMD.
