Complaint against Forest officer gathers dust
7/3/2018 10:38:08 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 3: An in-charge Assistant Director of Forest Director against whom severe allegations have been levelled by his subordinates is allegedly harassing them while the complaint they had filed is gathering dust.
According to sources, subordinates of the Satish Manhas (I/C AD-II) presently posted at FPF Gamma Unit J-2 Sidhra had filed complaint with the Director Forest Protection Force (FPF) against him for harassing them on December 7, 2017.
But till date no action has been taken against Manhas who is now again harassing his subordinates and forcing them to take back the complaint lodged with the higher-ups.
It is pertinent to mention here that a female subordinate had also filed a complaint with the higher-ups against Manhas.
The complainant have alleged that Manhas harass most of the officials posted at FPF gamma unit J-2 Sidhra on false grounds like unauthorized absence from duty. It's alleged that he later demands bribe for marking them president, reads the complaint.
The complaint further reads that all the staff working under him are not permitted to even sit on the chair but have to stand still for hours and if someone sits in front of him he uses abusive language. He even threatens them of dire consequences.
Manhas is a repeated offender. In the past he was accused of harassing his employees and was transferred to Doda in 2009. "We the employees of FPF gamma unit J-2, don't want to serve under this offender," his subordinates have said.
They alleged that despite complaint against the said officer, no action has been taken against him and he continuously harasses them.
It is worthwhile to mention here in that in 2015, some neighbours of Manhas also filed a complaint with Joint Director, Forest Protection Force (FPF) alleging that the officer in question harassed them.
