BJP- a house of satire politics
10/16/2018 10:37:48 PM
Mahadeep Singh Jamwal

In divided house of our
media network, it is projected like this that whole of the country is swooning with the policies of the Modi jee and I was also a staunch follower of this frenzy. But after going through the work of? Bertrand Russell, a British philosopher, logician, mathematician, historian, writer, social critic, political activist and Nobel laureate, it hit me and especially the following illustrations suggesting four general maxim as; the first is: "remember that your motives are not always as altruistic as they seem to yourself", the second is: "don't over-estimate your own merits", "The third is: "don't expect others to take as much interest in you as you do yourself". And the fourth is: "don't imagine that most people give enough thought to you to have any special desire to persecute you". This gave me a force to pen down few words on present politics by BJP.
A political party is a team of men seeking to control the governing apparatus by gaining office in a duly constituted election and politics in simple form, means the opinion that someone has about, what should be done by governments.
It is also activities that relate to influencing the actions and policies of a government or getting and keeping power in a government. Politics require ideas and values that set the goals and standards of political organization, freedom, justice and solidarity are such principles that can guide the political organization of any society. Politics in a democracy need to satisfy certain conditions such as; Politics require ideas and values that set the goals and standards of political organization. Freedom, justice and solidarity are such principles that can guide the political organization of any society. Politics require social organizations that collect interests, aggregate, and communicate them to the political and governmental institutions. Political parties, but also business and workers associations as well as other non-governmental organizations of the civil society, are such organizations that collect and aggregate social interests. Politics require institutions that collect proposals for the organization of society, and then represent, discuss, decide and implement them. Parliament, are the most important institutions of politics in a democratic state. Politics require active citizens who take part in political discussions with ideas, demands and expectations, and actively contribute to the functioning of political institutions:
Quite contrary to the sanctity required to be maintained by the political parties, they have become an infectious virus to infect the society. The political virus is spiraling out of control.
The political infection has travelled steadily in each segment of the society irrespective of caste and creed. The neutral minds believe that this infection can only be suppressed through education alone. The growing generation now bears the brunt of rising infection. What is missing from the society is any sense, that the spread of political infection is decaying the society. The unanswered question remains: Why political infection not stopped in its tracks, when we have both the opportunity and the knowledge to do so? Does our response remain paralyzed and incoherent in the face of so much avoidable sufferings? Have we been choosing the right representatives to administer us in a democratic process? The plain answer to the question is yes and we closely follow the definition that in Democracy heads are counted but at the same time it has also been rightly remarked that, Democracy: where any two idiots out vote a genius and this has also been remarked that politicians and diapers have one thing in common --- they both should be changed regularly and for the same reason. So any party forming government is branded as not for the welfare of masses but to extend its tentacles in other states/spheres by many tags by other political parties who fail to achieve the musical chairs and it is an admitted fact to the maximum extent. It is the known mechanism of politicians as to explain why the parameters adopted by political parties, does not affect the requisite of the needed values.
The scale of government's spectacular failure to prevent its citizens from sufferings is revealed in the statistics of deaths in natural calamities, drug addictions, starving masses, indebted farmers, houseless people, poverty lines and what not. The commoners politicized in a way that destroyed any hope that its government would adopt sane and rational policies. The root causes of the present problem can be found not in the politicians but in the politics of how the commoner's right exploited to pursue its political objectives. The society requires support networks and institutions to sustain the education programs and to deliver services to get themselves free from the clutches of this type fraternity of politicians. There are no rules to ensure parity or fair play in politics, but for the politicians, it is a game of chess played in an air-conditioned space. Politicians have lost their moral value to affluence that comes with power and materialism. They will stoop to any level to get your vote, they thrive on Power and what better than being able to dictate policy and make you feel like you need them. Even many people who go into politics for all the right reasons do tend to become corrupted or get dragged into the dark pits of politics, because in politics, it's difficult to go about your way without compromise.
Politics is a system where half of the bag is filled with rotten potatoes that it even spoils the good one in it. History is full of stories of to what lengths people have gone to obtain or wield power over others usually not by the kinds of behaviors or civilized.
It is the fault of electorates who don't even know what they want.
They allow the politicians to pull the curtain over their eyes, using sentiment. The politicians all are the same. They are looking for themselves. They don't really care about us and things will not change until we realize that. The politicians talk too much, some just open their mouths and say all in the name of politics, forgetting that someday, it will be used against them. People do keep records too. We still have a very long way to go. We must learn to ask questions. They keep telling us that they will improve our conditions, stabilize prices, create jobs, etc. What exactly are they going to do to bring about all these dividends of democracy? Let's wake up and keep our politicians on their toes and make them accountable. It is a common saying that if good men keep quiet in a morally bankrupt society, then they themselves should be ready to go down the drain with those corrupting that society. The calibers of persons who are into partisan politics are well-known in the society. Majority of them are not role models for the youth based on the behavior they exhibit. Politicians do not draw sympathy from the suffering mass.
The political class goes about gallivanting all over the world highly serene environment, while the citizens pass through hell.
It should not surprise anyone who understands politics, that it is always the same story politicians tell the electorates, when they campaign during elections. A new trend of 'satire politics', we have seen being promoted by our political class to down grade their opponents and many heading national political parties and occupying ministerial berths as well as sitting at the head of all ministers are on the fore front to practice this 'satire politics' also. While political satire is nothing new, talk shows and news parody shows have taken this form of entertainment to new-and arguably powerful-heights. We may find political differences in parties but we find them on single platter when we talk of these politicians as 'satirists'.
There is an unprecedented growth and importance of satire in the public sphere by politicians, but is that fact, good or bad for the nations require being arrived at, that how satire influence politics and common mass. But I will not hesitate to say that 'satire politics' is poor authorship leading to bad analysis.
Summing up I will like to say that politics should become better, and everyone should try for it. It has to be removed, from the present day's bad classification. Politics like everything else, our government has everything backwards and upside down. In a true democracy the people are in charge, not the elected officials.
Elected representatives are public servants and should do the will of public. That is not happening now. The so-called public servants spend much of their time and our money serving themselves, their party and their support groups. A science needed to be created just to study how to make Democracy work in the most efficient and fair way, which has become a play boy for everyone in their own style.
Before concluding citation of a beautiful quote by Benjamin Disraeli, a British politician and writer, who twice served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, that "A sophistical rhetorician, inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity, and gifted with an egotistical imagination that can at all times command an interminable and inconsistent series of arguments to malign an opponent and to glorify himself" is the true reflection of our Government sitting in the Parliament of the country.
