| KPC wants end of displacement of KPs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting today at New Delhi, expressed great concern for continues thirty years long displacement of Kashmiri Pandits as well as for facing lot of difficulties and for keeping their vows unheard.
It expressed solidarity with all the members of the Community residing in different parts of the country and abroad and extending its fraternal greetings to all of them, wherever, they may be, for facing all challenges of life boldly.
KPC also remind all of them that holy land of Kashyap Reshi is main base of the community where our history and culture are rooted since times immemorial and impress upon them all that "separate Kahyap Bhoomi" for entire KP community is only sacred goal to achieve.
Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC while addressing the activists and supporters stated that Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) will strike with full force and fight for its rights, with all legal, constitutional and other necessary means, where such rights are denied to the community or are infringed upon as community believes in responsive cooperation.
He stated that the Govt. has not given proper attention towards the grievances and demands of victim KPs from the last thirty years which resulted that the confidence of the said community has horribly shaken.
He reminds the Government that the minorities anywhere in the world are being regarded as a sacred trust with the government.
It is imperative for the government to always keep in mind the socio-cultural, educational, political economic and religious interests of the minorities. He hoped and expects that the State and center governments would assess the condition of the KP minorities of the J&K State and take prompt measures to improve the same and remove their legitimate grievances and accept their demands. |
