Induction programme concludes at GCET

Jammu, Sept 7: A two week induction programme for Ist year of B.E. students, 2019 batch concluded at GCET, Jammu.
The students were initiated into this interactive programme by the programme coordinators, Dr. Anita Brar and Dr. D N Sharma.
A welcome address was given by Dr. Suneeta Kitroo, course coordinator.
Dr. Sameru Sharma, Principal GCET, wished students for their happy stay in the campus and also encouraged them to participate in various activities that used to be held in the premises from time to time in order to instill the humanistic values, philanthropic spirits and overall nurturing of good instincts.
The initial phase of the programme was followed by lectures and interactive sessions by experts and eminent speakers drawn from reputed institutes like Art of living foundation (SELP), Bangalore, UIET Chandigarh, IIT Jammu and across the state.
The aim of the Induction Program was to explore student's academic interest and motivate them to work for excellence, promote bonding among themselves and build character to meet the future challenges of life.
Several apprehension and doubts raised by the students during interactive sessions were answered by experts to the large satisfaction of the students.
The relevance of basic sciences in engineering courses was clearly settled by the faculty members from UIET Chandigarh.
The team of experts from Art of Living foundation (SELP), Bangalore, discussed and gave them demonstration on Breathing techniques and activities, helping them in improving their concentration and clarity of mind.
The team of experts from Art of Living foundation, Bangalore Rohit Ranjan, Manjeet Singh, Kousar Razvi, Amarjyot and Shruti started SELP (Students Excellence & Learning Program) and State Coordinator bureau of communications, DDC and SSRDP-Govt projects Ajay Kapoor delivered lectures.
