| Police arrest narcotic smuggler, recover 12 gm heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 23: In continuation to the drive against drugs in Katra town, Police apprehended one person and recovered heroin from his possession.
The apprehended person was identified as Amit Sharma alias Rinku son of Hem Raj of village Kundrorian, Tehsil Katra and District Reasi from Kadmal, Katra near Oma Pati Palace. Police party recovered 12 grams of heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
On this the accused person was arrested and a case FIR No 217/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra and investigation started. The said person is notorious peddler and was earlier also arrested by Katra Police in case FIR No. 122/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of P/S Katra and challan of the case was produced in the Court on 20.11.2018. Today's arrest and recovery was made by SHO PS Katra Insp Pardeep Gupta assisted by SI Suman Singh under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar, ASP Katra Naresh Singh and SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir. |
