2/19/2020 8:01:24 PM
Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Feb 19: An emergent meeting of youths of Kishtwar was held today under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari, senior Youth leader of District Kishtwar. In the meeting the participants urged upon the union power minister to disband the joint venture consisting of NHPC, JKSPDC and Power Trading corporation of Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd.
The participants in their speeches have said that the work upon Pakal Dul Hydraulic Project has failed to provide employment to local unemployed youths of District Kishtwar whereas the Prime Minister of India during inauguration ceremony of Baglihar Hydraulic Project in his speech has said that Pakal Dul, Keroo and Kwar HEP with generating capacity of 2164 MW is an employment opportunity for the youths of District Kishtwar but it is a matter of great concern that the CVPP has engaged a large number of manpower from outside of J&K UT at the cost of deserving youths of District Kishtwar.
Bhandari has said that the AFCONS company management is using sub standard material into the execution of Pakal Dul HE Project which is a threat to the exchequer under Prime Minister Development Package which needs to be physically verified by the CBI.
He has also said that the AFCONS company is throwing muck extracted from Power House in the services reservoir of DPS whereas in the agreement the AFCONS company has to dump muck at a particular place as per the agreement.
Bhandari urged upon the LG of J&K UT to direct the managing director CVPP to terminate the contract of CVPP.
