Can world muster courage to take on China?
5/5/2020 12:21:19 AM

The United States has been claiming that China covered up the extent of the COVID-19 outbreak and how contagious the disease was to stock up on medical supplies needed to respond to it. However, the US President Donald Trump has been asserting that the Coronavirus is a Chinese virus which was manufactured in a laboratory.
The COVID-19 has infected more than 10 million people in the United States and till date more than 65000 people have died due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. The US has been one of the worst hit countries as the number of dead has surpassed the casualty figure in Vietnam war.
President Trump has reiterated on many occasions that the America has been attacked and has rubbished he virus theory. He has also put on hold the funding to World Health Organization (WHO). Trump accused the WHO of failing to inform the world about the outbreak of pandemic well in time.
The United States is garnering support from other countries to drive home a point that China has attacked the world with the COVID-19 virus and it needs to be held accountable. Even if the world is convinced that the outbreak of COVID-19 was an attack by China, will the countries come together and corner China? It’s not for the first time that China has indulged in any sort of misadventure. The country has been doing it in the past also but not on such a large scale. At present a super power like United States is on its knees. Despite having world’s best healthcare infrastructure at place the country has not been able to save its population from dying. Their doctors are watching helplessly. The COVID-19 has crippled the economies across the globe. China seems to be emerging as a new super power. The question is in these circumstances how many countries will like to annoy the Chinese, who seem to be on a mission to dominate the world.
The COVID-19 emerged from Wuhan but the Chinese managed to contain it within Wuhan. Other countries couldn’t do the same. All the economies across the globe have been crushed but China is doing the business as usual. Even the life in Wuhan has returned to normal.
Assertions of President Trump cannot be brushed aside as mere assumptions. If his claims turn true that means world is likely to see more trouble in coming days as the countries which have been hit will retaliate and it could lead to a big war with many nations involved in it.
