GRS express gratitude to EJAC for highlighting their plight

Kishtwar May 22: President GRS Association Kishtwar Ajaiz Hussain Sheikh today extended its gratitude to EJAC leaders and senior trade union leaders for extending their support to genuine issues pertaining to the employees working under MGNREGA and demanded immediate registration of all the employees working under MGNREGA either against the vacant posts lying in the department or against the newly created posts without any delay.

Ajaiz Hussain Sheikh in a statement issued here today said that employees working under '' MGNREGA'' Still waiting for their regularisation and are working without job security and other incentives since last over 10 years as a result of which the employees working under MGNREGA are in mental trauma.

Sheikh said that the statement issued by Senior trade union leaders of Employees joint Action committee Viz Mohd Rafiq Rather and Pir Nisar Ahmad urging upon the Govt to resolve all pending issues of Employees working under '' MGNREGA '' Scheme is highly appreciable and extended its sincere thanks to them for raising voice for the cause of MGNREGA employees.

“Highly qualified youth working under this scheme in Rural Development Department are still waiting for their regularisation despite the fact that these Employees are working in the Deptt, since 2005” Sheikh said added that the issues is genuine and need early redressel by the Govt.

He said that they not only provided support to the Department but also worked hard for the smooth functioning of near about 18 sectors of the Department—Unfortunately they are even not being paid their salaries regularly.

Sheikh demanded that they too deserve incentives, medical claim and other benefits.

“The whole leadership of EJAC and leaders of '' MGNREGA '' '' Employees Association under the leadership of their President Syed Jaffer persuaded their genune case before Govt and RDD framed a proposal in 2018 regarding their regularisation. Unfortunately the final approval is still gathering dust in Civil Secretariat which needs to be issued so that we employees could feel a sigh of relief and will come out of mental trauma” Said Ajaiz Sheikh.

Sheikh urged upon the Govt and made an appeal to His Excellency the Lt Governor of J&K, Worthy Chief Secretary, worry Commissioner Secretary RDD, to have a sympathetic look towards their genune issues bi issuing formal orders for their regularisation and other incentives.
