Udhampur, Sept 8: International Human Rights Council UT of J&K started the ‘Tree Plantation Drive-2020’, organized by State Vice President, IHRC Hr. Rehman and Sanjeev Singh, Social Activist, IHRC Udhampur here on Tuesday. Sushant Gupta President BJYM Udhampur was the Chief Guest of the occasion and Ravinder Singh & Maqbool Hussain from forest Department Udhampur also participated. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Singh, Social Activist, IHRC and Hort. Tech. Said that under the drive, trees will be planted 10,000 no's in Jammu division. Sushant Gupta President BJYM Udhampur said “In the blind race of development, we forget the mantra of Indian culture that nature is our mother and it cannot be exploited. This is the reason why the temperature of the earth is increasing and badly affected climate. Sanjeev Singh Said, that the world is afraid of climate change. There is the only way which our saints and ‘puranas’ had told us that trees are friends of human and only trees can save us. Indian culture has accepted the importance of trees and encouraged it. |
