In Kishtwar election rally, Kashmir figures in Modi's speech, Jammu finds no mention | Like his predecessors, he too seems to be taking Jammu people for granted | | Early Times Report
JAMMU/KISHTWAR, Nov 22: In the Kishtwar rally, the first to be addressed by Narender Modi during his election campaign in J&K, the prime minister mainly remained focussed on Kashmir, leaving people of Jammu region disappointed.
In his about 40-minute address, he hardly made any reference of Jammu. He talked about removing unemployment from Kashmir and rebuilding Valley into a tourism hotspot but did not feel it proper to make a mention of the problems which Kishtwar and other Jammu areas were faced with. Till some time back, he had been saying that Jammuites had suffered a lot at the hands of Kashmir-centric politicians.
"I know the aspirations of Kashmiri youth. I have come to wipe tears of Kashmir. Give our party an opportunity to serve you and it will remove all your problems," he said.
His these statements show that there has been a shift in BJP's policy towards Kashmir. The party has all of a sudden started toeing the Congress line of "Appeasement of Muslims in Kashmir". But ignoring the Jammu people and their aspirations won't pay the party. Jammuites u...

Modi talks Kashmir in Kishtwar; skips Art 370, Jammu | BJP pursuing hidden agendas | | Kunal Shrivatsa
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 22: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new found love for Kashmir and total neglect of Jammu while addressing an election rally at Kishtwar today, BJP dropping the slogan of abrogating Article 370 and taking a U-turn on its policy of not promoting dynastic politics by giving mandate to the brother of sitting MP has proved the critics right that party always pursues hidden agendas.
The BJP's complete changeover in JK was in full bloom at Kishtwar today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi during BJP's election rally didn't utter a single word for the development and progress of Jammu province or its people perhaps forgetting the fact that geographi...
| | They backstabbed people by voting for NC | Modi forgets his 'corrupt' MLAs | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a sweeping statement today accusing the two families (Muftis and Abdullahs) of "looting" Jammu and Kashmir and they being involved in corrupt practices. However, he forgot that BJP's seven MLAs from Jammu region were suspended for their alleged involvement in cash for vote scam during the Rajya Sabha polls in JK.
Modi made a passionate appeal to people to vote for BJP and get rid of two families, who according to him, are in "contract with each other to rule and loot" the state.
The Prime Minister before giving such a sweeping statement should have set his house in order first and asked the 11 MLAs of his party what...
| | Party surrenders Sopore seat to PC, eyes allies in Kashmir | BJP's Mission 44 Plus hits roadblock | | Early Times Report
srinagar, Nov 22: As the polling days are coming closer the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has realized that Kashmir is neither Haryana nor Maharashtra and if it has to be the part of the next government in Jammu and Kashmir then party would have to make compromises and leave a few seats for its allies who are likely to support the BJP after assembly elections are over.
Recent developments have punctured the tall claims of the BJP leaders that party would field candidates from all the 87 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir and party winning some seats in the Valley would make it achieve its Mission 44 plus.
In a significant move the BJP has not fielded any candid...
| | BJP's double standards: Shilpi dumped, totally sidelined; her martyr husband forgotten | Saffron Brigade's use and throw policy exposed | | Bharat Bhushan
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: The saffron brigade's double-speak stands exposed to the fullest in J&K poll campaigns. The party is contesting elections on the plank of corruption but it is not opposed to the entry of corrupt politicians of other parties into its fold. Abrogation of article 370, which used to be its main poll issue in the Lok Sabha and J&K polls, has too taken a back seat. Its (un)intelligent leaders, who are known more for making off-the-cuff, tongue-in-cheek remarks, even said that "if Kashmiris want article 370 to stay, it will stay". It is mere vote-politics which BJP is actively pursuing in J&K to achieve its, as of now, unachievable Mission 44+.

| | Kishtwar is in Jammu region not in Kashmir | Is Modi unaware about JK's topography? | | Sandeep Bhat
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaching out to Kashmiris from Kishtwar has made people in Jammu believe that either Modi is unaware about the topography of the area or he made a deliberate attempt to woo the voters in Kashmir. Otherwise everyone knows that Kishtwar is officially part of the Jammu region.
The Prime Minister today started and ended his speech with Kashmir and Kashmir only. He apparently made an attempt to appease the people who advocate greater Kashmir comprising Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah, Rajouri and Poonch areas.
There are few elements in Kashmir who time to time have advocated to cut these Muslim majority areas from Ja...
| | No mention of VDCs, Kishtwar riots in PM's address | State BJP leaders not brief PM properly | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally was impressive as par as strength is concerned but local leaders have failed to properly brief Prime Minister.
Thousands and thousands of people who thronged from far-flung and remotest areas of Doda, Kishtwar and Bhaderwah were expecting that Prime Minister would raise the issue of VDCs and last year's communal riots of Kishtwar but he skipped that two important issues.
It is believed that BJP leaders of the State have not properly brief the Prime Minister about issues in the region. Most of the state BJP leaders were more concerned about sycophancy of the Prime Minister rather than briefing him properly.
