Srinagar, Nov 4: With each passing day while power situation in Kashmir Valley is worsening, the level of corruption in the Power Development Department is touching new heights.
Sources told Early Times that the PDD headed by Chief Engineer Muzaffar Mattoo is full of bungling. "The PDD authorities have allotted contracts worth crores in the last few years without calling for tenders and adhering to the codal formalities. Some of the contracts without calling tenders have been allotted to relatives of the Chief Engineer," they alleged.
