Al-Qaeda’s offshoot was formed by dreaded terrorist "Zakir Musa"

Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 7: Zakir Rashid Bhat alias Zakir Musa, who was a self-styled commander of the Hizbul Mujahedeen outfit, formed Al-Qaeda’s offshoot in Jammu and Kashmir following differences with other terror groups. In July 2017 the Global Islamic Media Front-affiliated Al-Hurr media channel of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind claimed that Zakir Musa had been named the head of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, a newly created cell of Al-Qaeda. Kashmir's most wanted militant and Burhan Wani's successor Zakir Musa killed in Tral. Zakir Musa was one of the most wanted terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. On 21 December 2018, the group's deputy leader Soliha Mohammad Akhoon, also known as Rehaan Khan, was killed in an encounter with 42 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF along with five other militants. On 24 May 2019, security forces killed Zakir Musa in an encounter in the Tral area of Kashmir. Security forces had to blast a chemist's house where Musa was hiding. Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed in October 2019 that the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind has been wiped out of Kashmir. ...

Bandipora IED blast case solved, 2 arrested: Police

Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 7: J&K Police on Monday said it has cracked a recent improvised explosive device (IED) blast case in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir by arresting two hybrid militants. The low intensity IED blast took place between Aloosa and Kenusa in Bandipora on October 27, while an Army vehicle was passing through the area. There was no loss of life reported in the incident. Agencies New Delhi, Nov 7: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested then Assistant Sub Inspector of J&K Police and others including Constable of CRPF posted at 160 Battalion, Chatha, Jammu in a case related to alleged J&K Police Sub Inspector Recruitment Scam, the probe agency said on Monday. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 7: The J&K Police in Kashmir on Monday produced a charge sheet against five accused in the abduction and murder of Kashmiri soldier in Budgam district in March this year. Sameer Malla, a soldier with the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI), was on leave and went missing on March 7 and his body was recovered four days later from Khag in Budgam. 4% hike in DA for Govt employees, pensioners

Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 7: The Government announced a hike of four percent in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners. Regular employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance at the rate of 38 percent, with an increase of four percent to the existing rate, with effect from 1 July this year. According to an order issued by the Secretary Finance Department, the government employees working in regular pay levels under 7th Pay Commission recommendations will be paid Dearness Allowance at a revised rate of 38 percent of Basic Pay from the existing 34 percent of Basic Pay.
