Agencies NEW DELHI, Nov 1: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said the pleas against the practice of political parties promising pre-election freebies will be heard “in entirety” by a three-judge bench. SC says no to PIL for replacing party symbols on EVMs with age

Agencies NEW DELHI, Nov 1: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to entertain a PIL seeking a direction to the Election Commission to remove party symbols from ballots and electronic voting machines (EVMs) and put age, educational qualification and photograph of candidates instead. The Meteorological Department forecast a generally cloudy sky and possibility of intermittent light to moderate rains or snow during the next 24 hours. There will be no snow in the plains. Authorities said the air pollution normally increased after Diwali fireworks but it this time it remained normal during the festival but later started going up. Agencies New Delhi, Nov 1: Twitter banned 52,141 accounts in India for promoting child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity and allied content between August 26 and September 25. The micro-blogging platform, now owned by Elon Musk, also took down 1,982 accounts for promoting terrorism on its platform in the country.
