Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 4 While defending his war against corruption, the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad must have stunned to learn that the State Accountability Commission has a complaint against him as well. A day before the state Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die, the government have a written reply on cases registered against Ministers and Legislators. This was in response to a question of Ali Mohammad Sagar of National Conference. The list said that 22 sitting and former Ministers and legislators have cases against them in the Accountability Commission. It had come as a surprise that the SAC had a complaint against the Chief Minister as well. However, what was more surprising was the fact that the Chief Minister apparently did not know what he has been arrayed for. Details said that a complainant had made complaint against the Chief Minister as some backdoor appointments were made in the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages of which the Chief Minister is President. Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 4 The Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a case two persons for luring youth to jobs in Canada and extracting huge money from them. According to a Crime Branch spokesman, Harinder Singh of Nanak Nagar and Rajan Bansal of Chandigarh used to take lakhs of rupees from youth on pretext of sending them to foreign countries for jobs. New Delhi | Feb 4 Amit Kumar alias Santosh Rameshwar Raut and his brother Jeewan, the absconding kingpins of the multi-million-rupee kidney transplant racket, were picked and let off by Delhi Police last month, a top police official revealed Monday. 'Harpal, Amit Kumar's driver who was arrested last week, in his interrogation revealed that sleuths of Delhi Police picked up the duo 20-25 days ago and whisked them to Connaught Place area. New Delhi | Feb 4 The Supreme Court today granted the Centre an additional two weeks to respond to a plea seeking implementation of the Delimitation Commission's recommendations on re-constituting Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies in the country. A Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan accepted the plea of Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium for extending the four week time granted to the Centre on January 7.
