RAJOURI, MARCH 7 The special police team probing into missing of three persons of village Kotdhara of border district of Rajouri since October 1997 has identified two graves about 500 meters to the other side of the fence near Kancha post in Peer Badaser area after a day long exercise on Tuesday. The graves were identified and marked on the information of the relatives and some informers of security forces who were picked up by the police for interrogation. “The exhumation process will be carried with in days in presence of Magistrate and DNA experts”, Deputy Superintendent headquarters Rajouri, K S Jasrotia who heads the investigating team told News Agency of Kashmir. The investigations were taken up on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Parvez Ahmed Malik after the Kins of missing persons of village Kotdhara in Rajouri district lodged a written complaint. NEW DELHI, MARCH 7 An event of much significance: India's first base in Central Asia is ready to begin operations soon. The base is at Ayni in Tajikistan. Clearly, India's power projection into the region is poised for a leap forward. While refurbishment of the Ayni base is reported to have been completed, India's Chiefs of Staff Committee has given its go-ahead. At present, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) is waitng for the green signal from the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) to begin operations from the Ayni base, which is about 10 km northeast of the Tajik capital Dushanbe.
