Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 21: Within days after higher authorities demoted them for getting promotions on fake postgraduate degrees, one of the demoted principals has reportedly submitted list of 150 teachers who got promotions on fraudulent degrees. Highly placed sources said that one of the demoted principals has submitted a list of 150 teachers to the office of the Directorate of School Education. “These teachers have also managed degrees from the same university from where they have managed to get promotions”, sources said, adding, “Higher-ups in the School Education Department are in a dilemma over taking action against all such teachers because it was the responsibility of the authorities concerned to verify postgraduate degrees at the time of granting promotion”. NEW DELHI, Mar 21: Citing technical reasons, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to conduct a re-examination for recruitment of constables in Central Armed Police Forces, Secretariat Security Force and rifleman in Assam Rifles for 16,185 candidates on March 30. New Delhi, Mar 21: The Election Commission Thursday directed the Centre to “immediately halt” sending bulk WhatsApp messages under the “Viksit Bharat Sampark” to highlight the government’s initiatives. The Commission issued the direction to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology after it received complaints about the matter. “The move is a part of a series of decisions taken by the Commission to ensure a level-playing field,” the Commission said. New Delhi, Mar 21: The government on Thursday cautioned all endorsers and social media influencers to refrain from promoting or advertising, including surrogate advertisements, of offshore online betting and gambling platforms. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in an advisory, said that these advertisements have significant financial and socio-economic implications of online betting and gambling on consumers, particularly the youth. New Delhi, Mar 21: The Railway Board on Thursday instructed all the zones to closely monitor all Holi special trains and ensure their punctual running. Early Times Report Leh, Mar 21: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has commenced work for the reopening of the strategic Leh-Manali national highway in Ladakh union territory, officials said on Thursday.
