Sunderbani receives CM with enthusiasm

JAMMU, APRIL 19 “People are paramount and politics subservient to public”, said Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad adding that the welfare of people has to be the primary concern. He said that government has resolved to improve economic conditions of people and eradicate poverty. Chief Minister was addressing a largely attended public meeting at Sunderbani about 70 kms from here on Thursday. He said that massive infrastructure development programme has been launched throughout the state which is unprecedented in last 50 years. During the next four years, he said, 100 percent coverage on account of road connectivity, electricity and supply of drinking water will be achieved. He said hundreds of new roads, scores of bridges, water supply schemes are under execution and many more in the pipeline adding that this would give flip to development profile of the state. Stating that tourism has attained the position of an important industry globally and perceived as a single biggest employer, Chief Minister said that Jammu & Kashmir provides larger canvass for promoting tour...
