| Sham inaugurates augmented WSS, Jayanti Sunail | | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 5: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Mr Sham Lal Sharma on Friday inaugurated upgradation work on Jayanti Sunail Water Supply Scheme at Changal, Akhnoor
Addressing a large public gathering, the Minister said with this augmentation of the water supply scheme, 1075 souls of Kamyar Mohalla, Changal Mohalla and Sunail (Partially) would be benefited.
Sharma said that the Central and State governments have sanctioned a number of PHE schemes to provide safe drinking water to every citizen of the State particularly of remote areas and those which have not been yet covered.
The Minister said that safe drinking water is not only helpful in arresting unnatural deaths due to water born diseases but also ensures a healthy life. He said that presently 65 WSSs are under execution in this area.
Sharma said that the Coalition government is fully committed to provide safe drinking water facilities to every nook and corner of the State particularly uncovered parts.

| Raman Bhalla meets Governor | | | | JAMMU: Mr. Raman Bhalla, Minister of Housing, Horticulture and Culture, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
During the meeting, the Governor and Mr. Bhalla discussed various important issues relating to the preservation and promotion of the glorious composite cultural heritage of the State.
