BARAMULLA, June 13: Sports lovers of Baramulla have something to cheer about. The Government is setting up a Sports Academy here to train young boys and girls and prepare them for national level competitions. An astro turf would also be laid make the sports calendar around the year activity.

Kundal, today urged upon the Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, to instruct the concerned agencies for early execution of Lift Irrigation Scheme for village Jagtu Chack of tehsil R.S. Pura. The total estimated cost of the scheme, including other civil and mechanical works is Rs. 194 lakh (Rs. 174.60 lakh AIBP 19.40 lakh state share) which envisages covering C.C.A of 132 hectares of land.
