GANDERBAL, June 13: Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Mr. Sarmad Hafeez alongwith the officers of concerned departments including Health, PHE, PDD, CA&PD, Police, Transport, Fire and Emergency Services etc. today visited Khir Bhawani temple at Tullamulla, Ganderbal to review the arrangements being made for the forth coming Mela Khir Bhawani. The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal also met devotees and management of the Dharmarth Trust Khir Bhawani. The Chief Medical Officer, Ganderbal was directed to keep available medical and para-medical staff alongwith adequate of medicines for the devotees at the Shrine. On the occasion, Executive Engineer Electric department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the Mela. Similarly Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Ganderbal was directed to ensure cleanliness of the whole area in and around the temple. Some refreshment stalls shall also be installed by different volunteers for convenience of the devotees. The ARTO Ganderbal was also directed to keep adequate transport facilities available from Srinagar city and other areas to Tullamulla. Tehsildar Ganderbal was directed to monitor the overall arrangements under the close supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal. It was decided in the meeting that the telephone numbers of all concerned officers would be displaced at prominent places and for convenience of public, besides joint control room would be established. Fire and Emergency Services was directed to ensure availability of fire fighting tenders while CA&PD department have been asked to ensure supply of the essentials for the devotees. There shall be no use of polythene in and around Tullamulla and Mata Khir Bhawani, the DDC added. |
