Taj visits Choolan, Danisaydan, Dara-gutaliyan in Uri

Early Times Report CHANDANWARI (URI), June 16: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din today visited the hilly areas of Uri constituency including Choolan, Danisaydan, Dara-gutaliyan, Zamboorpatan etc. The aim of the visit was to have an on-the-spot inspection of the development works undertaken in these areas and seek direct feedback from the people there. Mr. Taj is on a three day visit to the area. At these places, Mr. Taj sought appraisal from people regarding the Government schemes and programmes run in their area and the officials managing them. Addressing a series of public meetings at these places, Mr. Taj said the State Government is seized of the development needs of people and Government is working to factor them in its policies and programmes. He assured them that their problems would be addressed in a phased manner. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 16: In order to oversee the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of annual Mela Kheer Bhawani, Minister for Tourism, Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Mir today conducted a tour of the Shrine along with senior officials of the administration. The Minister went around the shrine complex and took stock of the arrangements being done by the administration for the pilgrims on the occasion of festival. Early Times Report Tangdar, June 16: Jammu and Kashmir State Board Social Welfare Chairperson, Ms. Khemlata Wakhloo today accompanied by senior officers inaugurated Sevadar (Shelter Home) centre at Kharpora in frontier Karnah Tehsil of Kupwara district. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) who is also the chairman of the centre, on the occasion, apprised the Chairperson that 25 orphan girls shall be provided free education facilities besides shelter.
