| LeT militant among 2 arrested in Doda, Kishtwar | | | |
Doda, June 06
Police today claimed to have arrested a close associate of Lashker –e-Tioba district commander, while a Over Ground Worker of Hizbul Mujahideen was apprehended from Kishtwar area.
An official spokesman said that police developed specific inputs about movement of LeT militants in Cheera area under police station Thathri. Based on these inputs a search operation was launched by police and 159 Bn of Territorial army today, the spokesman said.
He added that during the search operation the troops arrested one close associate of LeT district Commander Abu Jindal. The arrested militant has been identified as Muhammad Razaq son of Muhammad Sain of Marsonda Donadi. One hand grenade, two AK magazine and some rounds were recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile, our Kishtwar Bureau added that police apprehended Farooq Ahmed Waza son of Bashir Ahmed Waza of Abubakar Muhalla Kishtwar for his alleged links with HM militants.

Dubai | June 6:
About 1,000 Indians, who entered Saudi Arabia on pilgrim visas and overstayed in the search of jobs, have been deported since Monday.
Officials at Passport Department have been struggling to find them room at the deportation centre in Jeddah, which is currently coping with the rush of illegal residents taking advantage of the amnesty, media reports said.
Saudi Arabia had issued a two-month amnesty, which began April 2, for those who have entered the Kingdom on Haj and Umrah visas and overstayed there.
The kingdom authorities have raised the issue of overstayers with Indian authorities expressing their concern over the rise in such cases.

Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha administered oath of office to Mr Justice Aftab Alam as Judge of Jammu and Kashmir High Court at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
Mr Justice Aftab Alam will be the acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, as per a communiqué issued from the Rashtrapati Bhavan, which was read out by Registrar General of J&K High Court Mr Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar.
The proceedings started with Principal Secretary to Governor Dr Arun Kumar seeking the permission of the Governor for commencing the oath ceremony.
