SRINAGAR, July 8 : As directed by Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, for all Yatra related arrangements being reviewed every 5 days, Mr. Navin K. Choudhary, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, today reviewed the Yatra arrangements with the Camp Directors via teleconferencing. The CEO reiterated earlier directions regarding the effective maintenance of sanitation and cleanliness at all the Camps in the Yatra area and along both the Yatra routes, and ensuring proper disposal of all bio-degradable and non-bio-degradable wastes.

Jammu, July 8 : The pen down strike of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of employees of various Government Departments of the state has paralyzed the work in all the government offices in Jammu on Monday.
A complete Bandh has been observed in all the departments with number of protests in different department of Jammu region. Employees were on one day strike against the government for not fulfilling their demands. All the constituents of JCC will hold a meeting at Srinagar to decide their further course of action on Next Monday.

| | | | Srinagar-PoK bus service suspended due to rain | | | | Srinagar, July 8 : The weekly bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was today suspended after heavy rains swept away a portion of the highway in Uri sector of north Kashmir, official sources said.
"The bus service, named as Karvan-e-Aman (peace carvan) was suspended after 100-feet portion of the highway near Gawalta was swept away by floods caused by heavy rains and cloudburst," the officials said.
