Local Cong leaders sabotaging ‘Ghar Wapsi’ of Azad loyalists | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 12: Even as some former legislators associated with the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) are ready to rejoin the Congress party, some party leaders are sabotaging the “Ghar Wapsi” of these leaders.
Fearing that the return of these leaders in the Congress party would challenge their supremacy in the party, some Congress leaders are misinforming the high command about loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad, who are ready to shift their loyalties after realizing that their future is bleak in the DPAP.
Highly placed sources said that during the recent All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in-charge J&K Bharatsinh Solanki and AICC Joint Secretary Manoj Yadav in Kashmir meeting of the Azad loyalists was finalized with the Congress leaders but at the eleventh hours some local leaders sabotaged the whole exercise.

SRINAGAR, July 12: Police have busted a human trafficking gang and rescued four minor girls from the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.

Amid several instances of overcrowding reported from different trains over the past few weeks, the Railways Friday said it has added 92 general category coaches in 46 long-distance trains for passenger convenience.
In a statement, the ministry said it plans to add general coaches in more trains.

SRINAGAR, July 12: A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said. There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property, they said. The earthquake hit the north Kashmir district at 12.26 pm.
According to the officials, the earthquake struck at a latitude of 34.32 degrees north and a longitude of 74.41 degrees east at a depth of 10 km.

SRINAGAR, July 12: The final flight of the Hajj 2024, carrying 317 pilgrims, has landed at Srinagar International Airport on Friday morning, marking the conclusion of this year’s pilgrimage for Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
