Kishtwar police slaps fresh charges on Mehraj-ud-Din | | | Asif Iqbal Naik KISHTWAR, Sept 22: While exposing terror web of Pakistani spy agency, alleged key ISI man Mehraj-ud-Din presently in the custody of Kishtwar police has claimed that ISI with the help of Army and underworld operatives has conducted recee of several vital installations in India including railway stations, metros, airports, army cantonments, nuclear plants, defence and importantly Parliament of India. According to the sources, Mehraj-ud-Din while unraveling the terror plan of ISI informed the interrogators that after 2001 attack on Indian Parliament, the ISI feels dejected since the terrorist deputed on the mission fails to kill any top level Indian politicians and treated the attack as failure. Sources said that Mehraj-ud-Din informed that ISI after unsuccessful attempt on Indian politicians in 2001 Parliament attacks has deputed several persons to conduct recee of Indian Parliament. Sources said that according to Mehraj-ud-Din, the ISI plan fails to tick off due to heavy security measures taken by the Government of India in wake of 2001 terror attack on Parliament. The sources said that though Mehraj-ud-Din unravels the ISI plan to target vital installations in India, but the sources added that Mehraj-ud-Din did not name the particular target among the major airports or railway stations or nuclear plants. Sources said that the discloser of alleged ISI man Mehraj-ud-Din is not the new thing since David Headley presently in US Government custody has already confessed that he on behalf of ISI conducted recee of many vital installations in India. Sources said that ISI and militant groups operating under its cover including Lashkar, Hizb, Jesh and HUJI always keeps an eye on major targets in India including the Parliament. Sources further added that Mehraj-ud-Din during questioning also unravels ISI plan to kidnap Indian politicians/businessmen or their family members whether in India or abroad to press the Government of India for release of top level militant commanders lodged in Indian jails including Afzal Guru convicted in 2001 attack on Indian Parliament. Sources said that Kishtwar Police with the help of top rank officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police tries its best to collect solid proof against alleged ISI man Mehraj-ud-Din so that he (Mehraj-ud-Din) could be punished. Meanwhile, the sources in Kishtwar police informed the "Early Times" that Kishtwar police has finally decided to registered a fresh FIR against the accused Mehraj-ud-Din at police station Chatroo under Unlawful Activities Act for waging war against the nation. The sources said that the decision of Kishtwar police comes after proper deliberation with top rank police officer who was in constant touch with Kishtwar police through video conferencing. Sources said the services of Chief Prosecuting Officer Kishtwar was also availed by Kishtwar police while deciding the contents of the fresh FIR registered against the accused Mehraj-ud-Din. Sources said that decision of registration of fresh FIR against Mehraj-ud-Din by Kishtwar police was taken in view of strong evidences collected by the Kishtwar police during his two week long investigation since the arrest of the accused on September 9, 2012 from the outskirts of Kishtwar town by Kishtwar police, IB and 17 RR. |
