Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 9: Senior PDP leader condemned the NC led government for its failure to address to the growing unemployment in the state and the harrasment it is causing to the youth.
In a press note released Shahzad said that the youth, considered to be the future of a nation is the most neglected and ignored section of the society in the state thanks to the apathetic and indifferent attitude of the present NC led government.
Khan said that in our state there are more than 6 lakh unemployed youth with different educational backgrounds and technical experiences and with every new session the number is swelling. But the government has failed to address to this problem.
The candidates having technical know how in the fields of engineering and forestry are rendered jobless. Khan said that unlike the Mufti regime wherein the ReT's were made permanent, the present government failed to absorb the Rehbar-e-Junglat and Rehbar-e-Zarat candidates.
Shahzad criticising the present government for its lack of interest towards the welfare of the people, said the remuneration given to the SPO's, linemen, daily wagers in PHE and Homeguard is too less as compared to the increasing inflation. Their wages should be raised and they should be absorbed in the concerned departments as in the case of ReT's.
"The yesterday's incident wherein three youth entered the well in the Assembly is condemnable but then we need to look into their psyche.
It is their frustration that led them to breach the law," he said. Shahzad further said that the NC led government that is conducting backdoor appointments in the government departments are not only disillusioning the youth but also paving way to corruption.
The process of reemployment of retired government officials is blocking the way for the employment of the youth thereby forcing them on the verge of frustration and despair. He said that it is unfortunate that corruption has crossed all levels but the government has failed to move an inch to mend its ways.
Shahzad threatened the Govt that today's youth is tomorrow's future and it has no right to spoil it. It is high time that the government provide employment avenues to the youth lest more incidences like yesterday's should take place and the youth even come on streets.
Others who spoke on the occassion were shabir hussain,Nadeem Sheikh,Vicky Kumar, Saleem Ahmed,Qassim Shah,Haji Muzaffar,Haji Ghani,Tanveer hussain, Mahfooz and Ghulam qadir.
