Employees rue callous attitude of PHE authorities

Kathua , Oct 11: The employees' wrath came out in the form of Dharna in order to lodge their strong protest against the callous attitude of the PHE department which has failed to address their long pending genuine demands, held at Irrigation colony behind the PHE Office at kathua. The protest was held by the P.H.E Workers Welfare Association Division Kathua under the leadership of president (District Kathua) Joginder Sharma and chairman of the association Baldev Singh. While they were expressing their resentment against the PHE department they blamed the department for not paying heed to address the long pending genuine demands of the workers who are facing hand to mouth crisis due to lying pending releasing salaries to the ITI Workers, daily wagers, CP Workers, Need Based workers,. Their salary has not been paid since long and how to meet with our daily survival expenses for families in this huge sky rocketing high price rise system. They said our genuine demands are to release the long pending salaries of ITI Workers, Daily Wagers, Need Based workers , retransfer field staff, from other PHE Sub Division to home town PHE Sub Division immediately, Fixation of seniority of field staff and conducting DPC against vacant posts, regularized the Daily Rated Workers after the completion of five years of job, repair of pumping stations Tube Well Building and Chowkidar quarters, issuing of the torches and umbrella, bulbs, gum bottles, and other requirement to the field staff during session. The association warned the department that such said demands have been brought into the notice of department but no action was taken to address the demands till date and now if the demands are not considered before the "Vijay Dashami" festival which is falling on 24th October the department would ready to face the dire consequences. On the occasion the Baldev Singh, Gopal, Jaswant, Joginder, and others were present.
