| Assembly protest: CJM Srinagar grants bail to JKDF activists | | Trio directed not to leave state without prior permission | | Early Times Report
srinagar, Oct 13: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar Rajeev Gupta today granted bail to three Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) activists who attempted to make into the assembly well by jumping from the visitors' gallery on Monday (October 8) and created ruckus over the failure of government to implement unemployed policy in state. CJM Srinagar further ordered that the accused will not leave the territorial jurisdiction of the state without prior permission. While granting bail to the trio who tried to protest in assembly well against state coalition on its alleged failure to handle unemployment issue, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar today directed SHO Police Station Shaheed Gunj to release the accused/applicants on bail after obtaining personal bail bonds to the tune of Rs. 20000/ each subjected to the conditions. Court said, "The trio identified namely as Manish Kumar Khujaria son of Om Prakash resident of Lane No: 27, Rajpura Jammu, Ambedkar Gupta son of Subash Chander Gupta resident of H.No: 110, Ustad Mohalla Jammu and Advocate Sunny Mahajan son of Joginder Gupta resident of Chowk Chabutra Udhampur have been directed to attend the investigation as and when directed by the Investigating Officer." CJM Srinagar further ordered that the accused will not temper with the evidences or hamper the investigation directly or indirectly beside they will not leave the territorial jurisdiction of the state without prior permission. After the court order all the three accused booked in FIR No: 82/2012 U/S 452/352 RPC at Shaheed Gunj Police station were released from central jail Srinagar. The trio is expected to arrive at Jammu by tomorrow morning. Meanwhile Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) sources added that the JKDF leadership under the active leadership of its chairman Anil Gupta is likely to organize warm rousing welcome to its cadre who in an exceptional case dared to raise voice in support of the unemployed of the state particularly from Jammu region. |
