| Bhalla inspects Revenue, PHC complexes at Lower Gaddigarh | | |

JAMMU, Oct 19 : Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has said that Government has prepared a comprehensive plan to equip Lower Gaddigarh area with all basic facilities like healthcare, multipurpose community hall, safe drinking water, electricity, road connectivity besides better lanes and drains. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the locals after reviewing the progress of ongoing construction works of Revenue Complexes Satwari and Digiana (Niabat Buildings) and Primary Health Centre at Lower Gaddigarh, here on Friday.
Bhalla asked the accompanying R&B engineers to complete the projects within stipulated time frame so that the locals of the area would avail the benefits of such facilities.
The Minister said that Rs. 3.5 crore are being expended on construction of Primary Health Centre (PHC) while Revenue Complex Satwari and Revenue Complex Digiana (Niabat Building) are being raised with Rs. 3.54 crore. He said that both the projects are expected to be completed within next six-months. Bhalla said that computerization of revenue records is going on speedily, adding that with the completion of this project the people would have easy to their records at their doorstep Niabat buildings. The Minister said that all the new Revenue complexes are being developed on modern lines with focus on installation of people-friendly mechanism, adding that the aim of the Government was to evolve such a system in which offices could function in a transparent and hassle free manner, as envisaged in e-Governance. Bhalla assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner, adding that there was no constraint of funds. Later, the Minister visited Gandhi Nagar and Shastri Nagar and inspected meca demisation of internal links and modernization work of recreation parks. He asked the locals not to put building material and waste in the public places, adding that 'it is the duty of every citizen to make in and around areas of the localities neat and clean'. |
