| Khajuria to Govt: Stop Geelani to repeat history | | | Jammu: Senior BJP leader and MLA Ashok Khajuria while reacting sharply, said that NC-Congress coalition should stop using people like Syed Ali Shah Geelani to repeat the history. The government should concentrate on the development and welfare of the masses instead of allowing the anti-national and separatists to indulge in provoking the religious sentiments of the Hindus across the country. Khajuria while reacting to Geelani opposing the construction of road to the holy cave of Baba Amarnath ji, said that it has become a matter of routine for the Kashmir based political parties and separatist organizations to make such statements which are aimed at pleasing the Kashmiris and hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. He further said that it was the result of the anti-Hindu approach of a handful of Kashmiri leaders that led to 2008-historic 63 day long agitation, which witnessed massive anger among the masses and about two dozen people sacrificed their lives for their religion. Ashok Khajuria said that the Kashmir based conditional leaders of NC and opportunist leaders of Congress have always worked towards dividing the people on one pretext or the other. For this unholy game, they have been using Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other of his ilk to divide the people on communal lines in order to divert the attention of the masses from the failure of the government and escape their wrath. He, once again, advised the NC-Congress coalition government to take lesson from the history and do not indulge in politics of divide and rule. He also took on the Jammu based leaders of regional parties to task who he alleged have been using their energy at the behest of the separatist elements and appealing them to take part in the electoral process ignoring the fact that these are the elements who have been creating insecurity, terror and division among the masses to run their industry. |
