| Ali Shah Geelani following NC Agenda…: Bhim Singh | | | Jammu: A day after Hurriyat leader Ali Shah Geelani came out with threat launch fresh stir against any move to augment facilities for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims as recommended by the SC panel, reactions poured in from political quarters in Jammu, with sharp criticism against his statement . Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party expressed no surprise on the statement of Ali Shah Geelani that he shall not allow Amarnath Shrine road to be constructed in Valley. He said National Conference's Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, had shouted at the top of his voice inside the Parliament that he shall not give an inch of land to the Shrine for Amarnath pilgrimage. Farooq Abdullah and his National Conference was opposed to the Amarnath yatra and now Ali Shah Geelani has made a statement without even reading the judgment of the Supreme Court which has directed the Govt. of J&K and the Shrine Board to broaden the road and make it genuinely pliable. "There is no judgment of the Supreme Court to construct road upto the Holy Cave…….. Geelani knows it well that the Kashmiri Muslims have never been against the non-Muslim religious institutions. …….The Muslims of Kashmir have, particularly this time, gave unprecedented cooperation to the pilgrims and that was the reason that Amarnath yatra was smooth and peaceful" Prof Bhim Singh said today while speaking to media. Taking on National Conference, he said the party got frustrated because their entire political philosophy that Kashmiries are against India has failed. The NC has been exploiting the Kashmiries and browbeating the Centre on this wrong notion. Ali Shah Geelani equally disappointed because the Kashmiries have not followed his sermons. Does he now follow National Conference's agenda to swell his crowd of supporters, he questioned. NPP Chief praised the Kashmiries for adhering to the principle of Kashmiriat to stand by secularism, brotherhood and to strengthening composite culture as integral part of the Union. |
