| Shakdhar emerging stronger among KP leaders | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 14: With State Government giving recognition to S K Foundation chief and former Kashmir Samiti Delhi (KSD) president Sunil Shakdhar by deferring the posting orders of migrant doctors, para medics and ministerial staff of health and medical Education Department employees Shakdhar has emerged as a powerful leader among the other KP leaders.
Moreover conceding the demand only after Shakdhar visited Jammu and took up the issue with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the NC led coalition has also dismayed other Pandit leaders including those belonging to Congress and NC.
Sources said that Shakdhar who visited here on Thursday remained in Civil Secretariat for the whole day did not left till he got the copy of the deferment order issued by Secretary Health and Medical Education M K Dwivedi at 5 pm. He after taking the copy briefed some selected media persons here and informing them that the Government has accepted the demand by deferring the order for time being, giving a much needed relief to the displaced employees of Health and Medical Education Department .
Sources said the Minister of Health Sham Lal Sharma had opposed the deferring of the order and Dwivedi was also reluctant to sign the order till he does not get the nod from concerned Minister. Sensing trouble as the Health Minister had become a stumbling block in issuance of order Shakdhar approached Omar Abdullah second time in the day asking him to contact Sham Lal seeking his approval for the order. To oblige Shakdhar Omar Abdullah contacted his cabinet Minister on phone asking him to get the order issued as on today, sources added.
Sources said this paved the way for issuance of the deferment order by the M&HE Department and the displaced employees of the Department putting up in different parts of the country got the much needed relief.
Government's sudden action on the pursuance of Shakdhar has revealed that Delhi based KP leader is emerging stronger and stronger and Government this way negated the other KP leaders including those of NC and Congress who had approached it regarding cancellation of order.
