| NC blamed for tarnishing PDP's image | | | early times report Jammu, Dec 23 : The National Conference plans to make a determined attempt at linking the BJP with the PDP in order to tarnish the image of its main political rival,the PDP, among the voters in the Kashmir valley and in some hilly areas of the Jammu region believe senior PDP leaders Nizam-ud-Din Bhat and Mohd. Dilawar Mir. The two senior PDP leaders also allege that since the National Conference leadership feels unnerved by the growing influence of the most secular party like the PDP in the two region of the state the ruling party has started conjuring a nexus between the PDP and some communal forces. They said that the National Conference leadership has become so much uncertain about the future of the party that CM's Political Adviser, Deve-nder Singh Rana has started leveling concocted accusations against the PDP.The two PDP leaders said that the PDP has never played divisive and communal politics and if the state has been experiencing regional tension and conflict it is the result of divisive politics played by the National Conference. One senior BJP leader said that by blaming the BJP for playing divisive and communal politics Rana was simply "airing his anger piled up against some of his family members."He said that by trying to malign the BJP without any substance and evidence Rana was simply trying to set up a base in the Nagrota constituency from where he has decided to context the next Assembly election. The BJP leader said that out of his "ambition" Rana has engineered differences between the NC leadership and Ajat Shatru Singh who has been the NC candidate from the Nagrota constituency. |
