| PK to celebrate "Homeland Day" on Dec 28 | | | early times report Jammu, Dec 23: Panun Kashmir today organised a meeting which was attended by the members of the advisory council and the large number of party activists to take stock of the preparations for the celebrations of the "Homeland Day" on December 28. "The activists were upbeat as the sense of jubilation in the Kashmiri Hindu Community is at its peak as the sense of the community is unanimous regarding the reclamation of the ancestral homeland in Kashmir as envisaged in the Margdashan Resol-ution adopted unanimously by the religiously cleansed community in 1991," a spokesperson of the PK said. Addressing the activists and the advisory council members Dr. Ajay Chrungoo said, "The return and rehabilitation of the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Hindus is not possible to Kashmir till the cause of their genocide is not looked into. Kashmiri Hindus were not the victims of the natural calamities like earthquake and floods but the communalism and separatism unleashed by the fascist forces to change the demographic character of the valley. Since the Kashmiri Hindus were the upholders of the Indian nation and the constitution in Kashmir they were targeted selectively and which has been admitted by the Chief Minister in his recent statement in New Delhi." "How is it possible to restore the Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir when all forms of freedom available in democratic societies are absent in Kashmir and there is a competitive secessionism going on. The recent sectarian clashes in Kashmir between the adherents of the same faith in valley proves that Kashmir is in the grip of the forces who practice all forms of regression to choke all forms of freedom available in progressive societies. The return and rehabilitation of the persecuted Kashmiri Hindus is possible only when the Indian constitution is made applicable in letter and spirit in the Margdarshan Resolution adopted by the community on December 28, 1991 and the perpetrators of the genocide on the Kashmiri Hindu community are made accountable for their crimes of holocaust and genocide inflict on the Hindus of Kashmir by the fascist and communal forces in Kashmir," he added. Dr Chrungoo appealed to the entire Kashmiri Pandit fraternity and the Indian nationalists to participate in the national convention to celebrate the "Homeland Day" on December 28 at the Green Land Palace Muthi here "to send a message of resurgence and confidence for the reclamation of the ancestral homeland in Kashmir with the free flow of the Indian constitution and the democracy." |
