early times report Kishtwar, Jan 5: MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo dedicated 30000 gallon capacity water reservoir to people of Padder on Saturday. Beside he also inaugurated electricity supply to nearly a dozen villages under RGGVY. Addressing public gathering at Padder he said that with the commissioning of Hanswar Nallah-Atholi water supply scheme beside construction of 30000 gallon capacity reservoir at Gulbgard, the long pending demand of people of Padder ha been fulfilled. Kichloo said that with the commissioning Hanswar Nallah-Atholi water supply, the people of Atholi and it's adjoin areas including Gulabgard will get respite from shortage of drinking water. He said that efforts are on to provide funds for other water supply schemes so that the people of this backward area of Kishtwar District will get drinking water facility at door step. The MLA said that with the commissioning of RGGVY scheme, villages like Siyani, Dundi, Koul, Chiras, Leoindi, Ligri, Dordu, Tunchal, Tatti, Kadalu and Shal having population of nearly 6000 will get an electricity. He said that villages like Massu, Uryangwari, Sohal and Ghar will be electrified in shortest possible time. Kichloo said that efforts were on to electrify villages like Machail, Ishtayari and Ghandari. He urged the people to make judicious use of electricity so that overloading could be checked. He said that work on Karthi power project will be started soon and said that government is committed to give priority to local youths in jobs. |
