| NPP delegation visits family of martyr Hem Raj, pays tributes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 15: A delegation of National Panthers Party (NPP) led by Chief Patron of the party Prof. Bhim Singh visited the bereaved family of martyr Hem Raj this morning in village Sher Nagar (Kosi Kalan), Distt. Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and condoled the death of a great son of the village who was martyred on the night of 8th January, 2013 on LoC in Poonch Sector. Prof. Bhim Singh was accompanied by Delhi Pradesh Secy. General, Rajiv Khosla, President Young Panthers (Delhi), Nishant Sambyal, Political Secretary, Sudesh Dogra, social activist, Rajiv Grewal and Surjit Grewal from Sriganganagar (Rajasthan) and others. The delegation met the members of the family and expressed condolences. Martyr Hem Raj had left his mother, wife and three children (two girls and one boy) all below the age of 8 years. Prof. Bhim Singh met two brothers of martyr Hem Raj also. In his condolence message, Prof. Bhim Singh said that martyrdom of Hem Raj is a stern warning to the rulers of India that the national security on the borders in the east and in the west needs to be upgraded. He said that there was certainly a security lapse which remains unanswered by the authorities concerned. Several people and ex-servicemen who had gathered in the village in memory of martyr Hem Raj asked questions which have to be addressed by that the power be. Prof. Bhim Singh assured the family members and the village fraternity of Sher Nagar that he shall convey the sentiments and the questions raised by them to Prime Minister Dr. Manmo-han Singh. |
