| Spring Blossom Public School celebrates Annual day | | Bhalla asks teachers to work hard for imparting quality education | | early times report JAMMU, Jan 19: Minister for Horticulture, Housing and Culture Raman Bhalla has asked the teaching fraternity to provide quality teaching as well as moral values in the school to students. This was stated by the Minister while addressing a large gathering of students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff members besides prominent citizens at an annual day function of Spring Bloosom Public School, Lakkar Mandi Janipura and Bakshi Nagar held at Police Auditorium in Gulshan Ground, here today. The annual day celebration started with lighting the traditional lamp and 'Vandana' song. The Minister said such programmes encourage the students to explore their talent through cultural items. Bhalla appreciated the efforts of students for presenting colorful a wonderful programme. He said such type of events not only giving platform to the children to expose their hidden talent but also come to know about their cultural heritage. He asked the students community to work for unity, integrity and defense of the country and appealed the parents to come forward and support their children in this mission so that country grows strong in every field. The Minister also highlighted the role of the teachers and parents in the life of children, he said a child is nourished by parents, while the teacher shapes his personality and gives his life a positive direction. Bhalla said that Government has prioritized the education sector and for this purpose a large number of state and centrally sponsored welfare schemes and flagship programmes are running in the state, adding that under such flagship programmes scores of schools have been upgraded and opened in urban as well as rural pockets. Later, the Minister also distributed mementos among meritorious students in academic and extra-curricular activities.
